Refund Schedule for Enrollment Fees
Once a student officially drops or withdraws from units at Taft College by filling out a drop slip
at the Admissions/Counseling Center, he/she may be entitled to an automatic refund.
Based upon whether the timeline was met, a students record will be flagged to
receive an enrollment fee refund from the Business Office. Drops or withdrawals
must be completed by the following timeline to receive an enrollment refund:
ENROLLMENT FEE REFUND POLICY
Students are responsible for dropping the classes they no longer wish to attend. To be eligible for a refund of enrollment fees, a dropped class must have been dropped on or prior to the refund deadline for that particular class. The refund deadline for any particular class is calculated at 20% of the class meeting days scheduled between the start and end dates for that particular class. For example, if a class is scheduled to meet twice a week for a total of 30 class meetings, the refund deadline would be the 6th class meeting (20% of the 30 class meeting days). Full-term courses will always have a fixed refund deadline published in the Schedule of Classes. Weekends and legal holidays are excluded from the calculation of teaching days.
If the student does not drop the classes according to the above timeline, all fees remain
the responsibility of the student.
If a payment plan was set up for enrollment, the $20 processing fee will not be refunded.
