Learning Disabilities Assessments

If you have never been diagnosed with a learning disability before, and you have concerns that you may have one, we at Student Support Services offer free assessments to enrolled students at Taft College. The testing is run as a class. It is called Enhancement of Learning Styles (LRSK 51). Testing takes approximately 6 to 8 hours to complete and is done on a one-to-one basis. After the testing is completed an appointment will be scheduled with a Learning Disabilities Specialist to discuss the results with you.

Our qualified instructors will help you identify your personal learning style and teach you how to use that to your advantage. They will also show you how to maximize your study skills, and learning potential. You will learn how to increase your academic efficiency, which will help you throughout your college career. This class is intended and designed to meet your individual needs and unique challenges. Your Learning Disabilities Specialist will work with you in determining what other specialized classes (if any) will benefit you the most.
