About TC Volleyball   

The volleyball team, has posted an overall record of 211 wins and 86 losses in 3 of 5 game matches at Taft College since 1996.  During this period of time, the volleyball team has won 5 conference championships and in 2004, the team finished 4th in the State of California. Another of the volleyball team’s accomplishments was being awarded the 2001 Scholar Team Award by the Commission on Athletics while also winning the Central Valley Conference Championship.  The 2001 team boasts the highest team grade point average of all California community college volleyball teams in that year. 

Instructional and Youth Volleyball Clinic

TC Volleyball and WSRPD are teaming up to provide an instructional and Youth Volleyball clinic for children between the ages of 6-14, beginning on February 22 and ending March 24. Space is limited, so register soon at Westside Recreation and Park District. $30 per person.

Fall 2009 Academic All Conference Awards Announced

The following volleyball student athletes have satisfied the fall 2009 Central Valley Conference requirements for the academic all-conference awards.  The student athlete must have excelled academically with a grade point average of 3.0 or above, on a 4.0 scale in at least 12 semester units while successfully participating in a season of sport:  Michelle Hardy, Nicole Gummersall, Kelcey Viliamu, and Tina Pulu.
